Daffodil Show and More at Ironstone Vineyards |

Murphys, CA...The 21st Mother Lode Daffodil Show, sponsored by the Northern California Daffodil Society and the Calaveras County Garden Club, will be hosted by Ironstone Vineyards on March 19th and 20th. Talented artists from the Calaveras County Garden Club will display their artistic designs. Guided tours of the Daffodil show on Saturday 2pm to 4pm and Sunday 12pm to 2pm. Show Chairman, Bob Spotts and other talented exhibitors will give guided tours of the show.

Copperopolis, CA...Copperopolis Town Square – the Castle & Cooke California-owned events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host “Spring Fest & Eggapalooza” on Saturday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Festivities are scheduled to include Easter egg hunts (for ages 2-5 and 6-10 and beginning at 11 a.m.), photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny (from 12 to 2 p.m.), live music by The Copper Renegades, kids’ games and contests, a rock-climbing wall, free goodies for kids and more.

Celebrate Murphys Irish Day Saturday March 19th |

Murphys, CA...Murphys Irish Day, an annual event that always attracts thousands of people from throughout northern California, will be presented by the Murphys Business Association on Saturday March 19. The celebration pays tribute to the town’s Celtic heritage and is always held on the third Saturday in March in honor of the patron saint of Ireland. The day will begin with a hearty pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church on the corner of Church and Algiers Streets. The menu includes ham, scrambled eggs, pancakes, juice, tea and coffee. Tickets will be sold at the door; $8 for adults and $5 for children under ten. To-go orders will be available. Proceeds will go to various local and global charities supported by the Men’s Fellowship of the Church. The Main St. festivities will start at 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. There is no admission charge.

Calaveras County Announces Free Music In The Parks for 2016 |

San Andreas, CA...Calaveras Arts Council has hosted free summer concerts for over two decades. Music in the Parks 2016 will be another great music series. The “first day of summer” starts a week earlier in Calaveras County. On Wednesday, June 15, the Calaveras Arts Council begins its 25nd year of providing free music in the county parks from Copperopolis to Arnold, and Valley Springs to West Point. This fun filled musical road show is called Music in the Parks. Residents and visitors pack up their favorite picnic treats, pull together their lawn chairs and blankets, and set out for ten weeks of great music, family friendly environments, and kick back to savor the experience.

Murphys, CA…Mark your calendars for the 14th annual Love the Forest Concert at Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys, Saturday, April 2nd, beginning at 7pm. A host of local musicians including Cantamos with Michela Macfarlane, plus The Bill Welles Band. The evening will also include special guest singers from the San Francisco Women’s Choir Musae joining Michela on several tunes.
