Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! It's the first day of Spring and well.......mixed precipitation is expected over the next few days. With the warm front of the current system making it's way over Central Cal things will feel a bit warm today with the expected high of 48F and winds out of the East from 7-24mph. Rain is slated to fall later today and tonight before a cool down allows some snow to fall Monday afternoon/night. We could pick up 3-5 " by Tuesday morning so this could be the last snowfall we see for a week or so, then the return of dominant High pressure ridging and clear warming weather into the first week of April. Come on up to Bear Valley and enjoy the ride! All weather Highway 4 is the easiest drive to any resort on the West slope! We're about "Pure Mtn Fun" so come check us out.

Murphys, CA...The 21st Mother Lode Daffodil Show, sponsored by the Northern California Daffodil Society and the Calaveras County Garden Club, will be hosted by Ironstone Vineyards on March 19th and 20th. Talented artists from the Calaveras County Garden Club will display their artistic designs. Guided tours of the Daffodil show on Saturday 2pm to 4pm and Sunday 12pm to 2pm. Show Chairman, Bob Spotts and other talented exhibitors will give guided tours of the show.

Murphys, CA...Murphys Irish Day, an annual event that always attracts thousands of people from throughout northern California, will be presented by the Murphys Business Association on Saturday March 19. The celebration pays tribute to the town’s Celtic heritage and is always held on the third Saturday in March in honor of the patron saint of Ireland. The day will begin with a hearty pancake breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church on the corner of Church and Algiers Streets. The menu includes ham, scrambled eggs, pancakes, juice, tea and coffee. Tickets will be sold at the door; $8 for adults and $5 for children under ten. To-go orders will be available. Proceeds will go to various local and global charities supported by the Men’s Fellowship of the Church. The Main St. festivities will start at 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. There is no admission charge.
