San Andreas, CA...Calaveras Community TV is located in San Andreas, CA. We are a non-profit organization which helps facilitate the local studio and air original community programming to your home. The goals for PEG Access Television are to promote free speech, foster diverse points of view, encourage communications, create opportunities, encourage artistic expression, expand educational access, and promote participatory democracy in order to strengthen the spirit of the communities and enrich the lives of our residents and visitors.

Murphys, CA...Artist Showing at Ironstone Vineyards - AnimalScapes - An Art Exhibit for Animal Lovers open for viewing through February 15, 2016. Featured Artists in January at Art on Main - Helen Scofield along with guest artist Kathleen Dunphy will be featured during the month of January. Artist Showing at Hovey Winery - The diverse watercolors of 26 adult students of Martha Wallace will be featured for the months of January and February at the Hovey Winery Tasting Room, 350 A Main St., Murphys. Manzanita Arts Emporium is the new home of Manzanita Writers Press, the Literary League of the Calaveras County Arts Council. MAE recently opened in November of 2015 in historic Angels Camp with a beautiful art gallery and workshop space. Join David Vassar and Sally Kaplan of Backcountry Pictures for a workshop on the basics of writing for non-fiction television and film. Participants will learn the following skill sets and more..

West Point, CA...This laugh-out loud comedy, by Jim Brochu, follows chef and cookbook author Gussie Richardson as she tries to secure her own television cooking show. Unfortunately, Gus’s stage fright gets in the way of her dream. No one escapes the mess that ensues as her friends try to help her overcome her fears. Cookin’ with Gus is directed by Terra Forgette, and features a great cast of Blue Mountain Players regulars and some new faces. Local singer-songwriter Meghan O’Keefe stars as “Gourmet Gus”. She is joined by Laurel Lickteig as “Carmen”, the Gypsy Princess next door neighbor; Dennis Adams as Walter Richardson, Gussie’s couch-potato other half; and Jeff Haight as “Bernie” her high-energy agent.

A host of local musicians including Cantamos with Michela Macfarlane, plus The Bill Welles Band. The evening will also include special guest singers from the San Francisco Women’s Choir Musae joining Michela on several tunes.

Theatre Arts Repertory for Kids be "Part of Your World" as 70 talented youth performers between the ages of 5-18 stage "The Little Mermaid," February 12-14 at the Bret Harte High School Center for the Performing Arts in Angels Camp. Based on the iconic 1989 animated feature film, "The Little Mermaid" tells the story of Ariel, a headstrong young mermaid who yearns to find true love and a sense of belonging. By entering into a powerful pact with the scheming sea witch Ursula, Ariel must make the dashing Prince Eric fall in love with her and discover the power of her own voice before she can find her happily ever after.
