Murphys, CA...The Murphys Hotel Presented the 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off Benefiting the Hospice of Amador & Calaveras County. Each contestant had to cook a minimum of 3 gallons of chili. The Judges Award was based on Flavor, Texture, Consistence, Blend of Spices, Aroma & Color. There were also people's choice awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place and "Best Theme" The Chili Cook Off results: Best Theme: The V, 3rd place: Arnold Pantry, 2nd place: Darby Plumbing, 1st place: The Murphys Hotel, Judges Grand Champion: Hospice of Amador and Calaveras!!!
