Murphys Holiday Parade & Open House 2014 Over 200 Photos & Full Parade Video |

Murphys, CA...Our little village of Murphys rolled out the holiday red carpet Friday night for their annual Holiday Open House & Parade. The streets were closed from 5-8pm as thousands lined the streets and visited local businesses as our local Christmas season hits high gear. This year's parade had over 40 entrants and all of the Main Street businesses were open late. Live music, caroling, Santa & Mrs. Claus and plenty of elfish behavior made it a special night. The Spice Tin actually had "Chestnut Roasting On An Open Fire" and Jack Frost was pleasantly absent with very comfortable weather for the evening...

The Base Is Building In Bear Valley! Weaher Update ~ By Mattly Trent |
Posted by: thepinetree on 12/04/2014 11:48 AM
|
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! The Snow Survey site at lodge level picked up 5" of new snow overnight, add 4" to that from yesterday and 4" from Tuesday afternoon for a total of 13" for the storm total despite the warm temps and high rain levels!!! We now have 16" of base and well, can you say STOKED! Today expect a chance of rain and snow showers before 10am the a few degrees of cooler temps will most likely produce snow showers into this evening. The high will be near 40F with a South southwest wind from 7 to 9 mph. 1-2" is expected but hey, the forecast has been rough this week so we could see more. As these pulses of precipitation events continue to push through Northern/Central Cal we could pick up a few more inches of snow into the weekend and then next week looks to be on track for 2 different systems, Mon/Tues and then again on Thursday. 7000' is the expected snow level for those events but could drop lower. Thanks to all ya' all for keeping up the snow dances and shouts to ULLR, it's working! Stay tuned........Peace Out, Mattly
