Bear Valley, CA...Come and find fun for the whole family. Escape the heat and spend Labor Day Weekend in the High Sierra! We provide the soap box cars, you race, in this fundraising event for the Bear Valley Parents Group. Amusements include a petting zoo, pony rides, archery tag, water wars, a bouncy house, quad bungee and more. The evening ends with a delectable meal by Devon Shires and the Magnolia Cafe team, music by the bluegrass family trio Rainy and the Rattlesnakes and an awards ceremony. Murphys, CA....In an effort to provide local musicians with the opportunity to perform in front of live audiences, as well as a unique experience for the community, Ironstone has implemented a new music series - Friday Night in the Cave – Bands, Barrels and Barbeque. As the first of the series was an overwhelming success in July, and featured local bands – The Experimentalist, Jill Warren and The Hot Dark. The next Bands Barrels and Barbeque is slated for Friday, August 29th and will showcase Cabby featuring Brian Jirka, Lightning Boy and his Thundering Blues Band and The Little Fuller Band....

Murphys, CA...The Calaveras Community Band, that traces its history to California’s gold rush days, will present a special Labor Day concert under the leadership of Director Mic Harper in the Murphys Community Park on Monday, September 1, at 6:30 p.m. There will be music for everyone’s taste ranging from swing and jazz to show tunes and marches. The band has added two new Latin tunes to its repertoire. There is no admission charge. Families and other members of the community are invited to pack a picnic dinner and enjoy this holiday concert....
