Three Mother Lode Boy Scouts Recognized |

Angels Camp, CA...Over the weekend the Greater Yosemite Boy Scout Council held it's Annual recognition banquet in Modesto. From the Mother Lode area Lynn Bartlett, Sierra Hills Stone and Rich Kotowski, her Eagle scout escort attended. Lynn was recognized at the event for helping the National Boy Scouts revise their Sculpture merit badge book. That merit badge book now has three scouts from Angels....

Murphys, CA...Celebrating its Celtic heritage, which dates back to the Gold Rush era, the town of Murphys each year stages one of the most popular events in the Mother Lode. This year’s Murphys Irish Day will be held Saturday, March 15th.
The day will begin with a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church on the corner of Church and Algiers Sts. Presented by the Murphys Business Association, the Main St. festivities will start at 10 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. There is no admission charge....

Learn how to "sell" your story idea, advertise effectively, and format information for release into the media. Angels Camp, CA...Glory Hole Sports in Angels Camp will be hosting their 10th Annual Fishing Seminar and Customer Appreciation Days on April 5th and 6th, 2008. This event gets bigger and better each year. There will be product booths and manufacturers’ representatives with great deals on rods, reels, tackle, and accessories such as downriggers, and we will be putting line on your reels for a penny per yard (up to 20 lb. test), so bring your fishing reels......
