Mokelumne Hill, CA....Petroglyphe Gallery announces their 2014 musical concert series featuring the works of three internationally renowned musicians. The 2014 series will open on April 27 with a performance by Chilean-born flutist, Viviana Guzman. Cellist, Erik Alvarez Urbina, will perform on May 18, while Motoshi Kosako will return for his third concert at the gallery on August 24. Enjoy wine and light appetizers in the gallery before the show. Seating is limited and tickets are on sale now at Petroglyphe Gallery -- stop by, call, or email to purchase. New Melones Fishing Report ~from Glory Hole Sports

Angels Camp, CA...The Glory Hole Fishing Report. Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,069,091 acre-feet of water. The lake level fluctuated very little this week and is currently at 952 ft. above sea level and 134 ft. from full. The water is slightly stained with some areas forming mud lines. There is also a little bit of debris on the surface. The average water temperature is 54-60 degrees and rising daily. The boat launch ramps at Tuttletown and Glory Hole Point are both open.


Mike Mancini, Waili Wong and 7-year old Parker Wong of Redwood City caught a few rainbows while trolling a dodger/worm combo in the Angels Arm.

Murphys Irish Day 2014 Photos & Did Attendance Set A Record?

Murphys, CA....Murphys Irish Day 2014 is in the record books. We have over 700 photos in the photo album below. We hope to give you and opportunity to relive Irish Day 2014, or if you happened to miss it a chance to take in the flavor of the day and make plans to attend next year. Murphys Irish Day has matured into a yearly event for many from all over Northern California to attend. Was it a record setting crowd day? We heard estimates from 14-15,000 all the way to 30,000. Impossible to know exactly but the largest single day event in Calaveras County certainly lived up to it's billing and had thousands upon thousands filling Main Street. The top photo below was taken at 3:30pm looking up Main Street and well after peak crowd volume. The crowd on the street turned at least 2-3 times during the day....

Murphys, CA...Each year on the third Saturday in March, Murphys shuts down Main Street and prepares to celebrate like only the Irish can. Join us for a parade at 11 am, stay to eat, taste and shop the Irish Day booths, local tasting rooms and shops of Murphys, buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win our famous trip to Ireland, enjoy music, dancing and Celtic entertainment on our two stages and wrap the day up with dinner at one of our restaurants. We are expecting 100+ vendors offering food, hand crafted and celtic themed items so plan on spending some time strolling the streets. Take the little ones over to the monument to ride the ponies or hang out in front of one of our stages enjoying the music and dancing. Watch for the bagpipers and our stilt walker performing on the streets. The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm and you’ll want to get here early to grab a good spot to watch the parade...
