Dire Straits Members Form “The Straits” and Black Oak Casino Resort is the Only California stop on their U.S Tour |

Tuolumne, CA...Tickets are now on sale for The Straits performance at Black Oak Casino Resort on March 26th. The Straits is comprised of Dire Straits' Alan Clark and Chris White with five hand-picked, world class musicians - Terence Reis, Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mickey Féat, Adam Phillips and Jamie Squire. As of now, Black Oak Casino Resort is the only stop in California on their U.S. tour. Dire Straits’ legacy is alive and well thanks to the musicians who made history with the band. Straits' keyboard player and former Dire Straits member and producer Alan Clark began the process two years ago in Rome. “Dire Straits' sax player Chris and I were having breakfast beside a pool one beautiful, sunny morning when I declared we were going to form The Straits,” says Clark....

This is their first time in California, so lets make them welcome! The Bombadils are a ridiculous and kind-hearted bunch of rascals disguised as a four-piece folk band. Originating from Vancouver, Edmonton, and Halifax, they met in 2009 at McGill University's Schulich School of Music in Montréal, where they were pursuing their studies in jazz and classical music. These musical influences carry over into their love of folk music which includes Irish, bluegrass and Canadian and American old time....
