Pinecrest, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office.."On Saturday evening around 6 PM, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team responded to the Aspen Meadow Pack Station to search for David Barnes of Modesto. David was hiking near Aspen Meadow looking for a breed of Hawk named Goshawks. He went off trail and became separated from family and unable to find his way back to his vehicle. When he didn’t return for several hours, his family became worried.

Drinks & Driving Lands Man in the Drink (Mokelumne River) |

Jackson, CA...From the Amador Sheriff's Office..."Yesterday afternoon the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a pick-up truck that ran off Electra Road and came to rest upside down in the Mokelumne River. Two of our deputies responded and upon finding the truck partially submerged in the river they began shedding their gear in preparation for a rescue operation. Fortunately, the driver and sole occupant was cut free from the pick-up by a passing motorist and was sitting at the water's edge when we arrived.

Tuolumne, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office..."29-year-old Bryce Lawrence and 24-year-old Bryanna Ireland, illegally entered a rental home belonging to a elderly couple in Tuolumne City. The rental home is located next to the couple’s residence on Hodge Ave. The couple heard noises coming from their rental and walked over to investigate.

Sonora Woman Arrested on Attempted Arson, Vandalism & Probation Violations |

Sonora, CA...Deputies discovered a much more sinister plan was in the works when they responded to a Sonora home on Phoenix Lake Road Saturday afternoon for a reported vandalism. The caller heard a loud noise at the front of their residence and saw a neighbor, 43-year-old Alayna Moro, walking away from the home with a hammer in her hand. Moro returned a short time later holding a gas can and lighter. She turned around and left the property after seeing the homeowner. A broken garage window and damage to an RV were believed to have been caused by Moro.

Columbia, CA...On May 19, 2018 at approximately 12:25 pm, 56 year old San Jose resident, Darryl A. Fraser, was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling southbound on Springfield Road, south of Parrotts Ferry Road at approximately 40 to 45 miles per hour while passing other motorcycles also traveling in the southbound lane. 31 year old Rohnert Park resident, Daniel J. Rauer, was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling southbound on Springfield Road, south of Parrotts Ferry Road at approximately 35 miles per hour, ahead and to the right of Mr. Fraser.

Major Injuries to Clovis Man in New Priest Grade Collision |

Groveland, CA...On Saturday, May 19, 2018, at approximately 10:50 am, 70 year old Clovis resident, Russell Merritt Jr., was riding down New Priest Grade on his 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling westbound on SR-120 east of Grizzly Road. Mr. Merritt was unable to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway and lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcycle overturned and Mr. Merritt was ejected.

Major Injures To Elderly Jamestown Woman When She Hit Accelerator Instead of Brakes |

Jamestown, CA...On Thursday, May 17, 2018, at approximately 2:32 pm, 88 year old Jamestown resident, Gina Vernazza, was driving a 2006 Ford, traveling eastbound in her driveway of her residence at approximately 5 mph. When she attempted to stop her vehicle, Vernazza missed the brake pedal and instead hit the accelerator. The Ford accelerated rapidly forward and traveled through a fence and down a dirt embankment. Vernazza was unable to regain control of her vehicle and subsequently struck the rear of a residence on Johnny Drive.

San Andreas, CA...On May 16, 2018, a 3-year-old male wandered away from his residence on Pine Street in San Andreas. The Calaveras Sheriff Emergency Dispatch Center was notified at approximately 6:20 PM, at which time a full response from Sheriff’s patrol deputies, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel, officers from the California Highway Patrol, fire and medic units, and citizen volunteers was initiated.
