Modesto Man Arrested After Tuolumne County Check Fraud Spree |

Sonora, CA...An arrest was made only a few hours after surveillance footage was shared with the community, regarding a local check fraud investigation. A Black Oak Casino Security Officer alerted law enforcement after spotting 37-year-old Josiah Silveira of Modesto who matched the description of the wanted man. Responding Deputies arrested Silveira and a search of his car turned up dozens of fraudulent and forged checks, a laptop computer, a printer, and blank check paper.

Markleeville, CA...Updates from the Alpine Sheriff's Office on Missing Bradford Dozier...October 31, 2018 Spencer Case, Undersheriff Search and Rescue update regarding missing person Bradford Dozier. The search for missing person Bradford Dozier continues. As of 2:00 pm, October 31, 2018, no clues have been found. Currently the search is concentrated west of Blue Lakes near Deadwood Peak in Alpine County.

Major Injuries to 17 Year Old Groveland Woman in Overturned Vehicle Collision |

Groveland, CA...On Thursday, November 1, 2018, at approximately 1:37 am, CHP Merced Communications Center received a call of a traffic collision on Ferretti Road west of Lumsden Road. The reporting party had located a solo vehicle overturned off the roadway. The driver, solo occupant, 17 year old Groveland Resident, was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Passat westbound on Ferretti Road west of Lumsden Road. Coming out of a right hand curve in the roadway, she allowed the vehicle to cross over the opposite side of the road and ran off the south road edge. The vehicle struck several trees and overturned, coming to rest on its roof approximately 40 feet down an embankment.

Markleeville, CA...Bradford Dosier went hiking to an unknown destination on Saturday 10/27/18. His vehicle was located at the Evergreen Trailhead on Sunday the 28th. Bradford is a white male, age 55, 5'10" tall and around 190 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark gree long sleeved shirt, olive hiking pants and hiking shoes or boots. Anyone with information please call the Alpine County Sheriff's at 530.694.2231

Arrests Made After Assaults in Sonora |

Sonora, CA...From the Sonora Police Dept...."Last night about 10:45 p.m., we received multiple reports of a disturbance involving a vehicle and several people near the 100 block of Lyons Street. Officers responded and ultimately arrested 25-year-old Francisco Rico of Sonora and a 16-year-old male Tuolumne resident for felony battery.

School Custodian Arrested for Threats to Co-Worker |

San Andreas, CA...On 10-29-18 at about 7:50pm, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office deputies took a report from a Toyon Middle School Administrator regarding a possible threat with a firearm by a custodial staff member. Deputies were told that 72 year old Fred Westbrook of Mokelumne Hill works on the custodial staff at Toyon Middle school and he has been having a dispute with another co-worker. Westbrook reportedly threatened this co-worker and also made several statements to other subjects mentioning bringing a firearm to work. When the school administration was made aware of the statements yesterday afternoon, immediate action was taken to ensure that Westbrook was not on campus and the Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the incident.

Mountain Ranch Area Property Targeted for Cleanup |

Mountain Ranch, CA...From the Calaveras Sheriff Dept..."On October 26, 2018, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit contacted several people in the area of Ponderosa Way near Doster Way in Mountain Ranch. The area was strewn with trash and vehicles, and a 30 foot travel trailer was parked on Ponderosa Road and being lived out of. Additionally, Investigators noted the presence of burned piles of trash, liquid waste, and petroleum products on the ground. The area was located directly above a year-round creek which flows directly into the Mokelumne River Watershed, and the violations were occurring directly on a public roadway and on the border of public land.

The conspirators’ ultimate goal was to steal, among other data, intellectual property and confidential business information, including information related to a turbofan engine used in commercial airliners.

CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit Law Enforcement Officers make an Arson Arrest |

San Andreas, CA...On Saturday, October 27th, 2018 at approximately 5:23 AM CAL FIRE responded to a wildland fire located on Lake Road approximately 1.3 miles south of Highway 132 near the community of La Grange in Stanislaus County. The fire burned approximately three acres of grass and oak woodlands. The cause was determined to be arson. A witness provided a suspect description, and the person matching that description was located on a nearby cattle ranch with assistance from employees of the ranch.

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Office....."Deputy Vince Lee was patrolling the Jamestown area just before 3 o’clock Sunday morning when he received information about a purse that had just been stolen from a parked car in East Sonora. The suspects were reportedly driving a silver Toyota truck and headed west toward him.
