FIRE NEWS.....Fire on Pool Station Road 1/2 Mile from Highway 4 |

Angels Camp, CA... A fire is being reported on Pool Station Road, 1/2 mile from Highway 4 on the left hand side of the road. The fire type is unknown at this time. Smoke and flames can be seen from the road. Units are in route to the scene. UPDATE #1: Units are having trouble locating the fire and are on scene now. Units that have not arrived on scene are staging at Highway 4 and Pool Station Road. UPDATE #2: Units are still unable to locate the fire and believe it was a burn pile, the smoke and flames are no longer visible from the road. Units that were staged on Highway 4 are now being canceled. We will keep you posted on type of fire when determined.

Youth Injured While Riding his Honda 50 |

Valley Springs, CA....A Valley Springs Youth was injured while riding his Honda 50. Apparently he was riding at an unsafe speed for the conditions of the road and he eventually lost control fell on the roadway and his motorcycle came to a stop. He was taken to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital with minor injuries. CHP release enclosed....

Improperly Extinguished Campfire Causes Small Vegetation Fire |

White Pines, CA....CAL Fire states an improperly extinguished campfire caused a less than quarter acre of burned vegetation at the Trails End area in White Pines on Wednesday. Dollar damage is $400. Reminder:Extinguish campfires with water, using the drown, stir, and feel method. For more tips log on www.fire.ca.gov, click on communications tab, then on fire safety education, then on camping. CAL Fire's office will be closed in observance of Independence Day. Be safe! Fire report enclosed....

Valley Springs, CA....We have received the official CHP release on the ATV fatality that occurred over the weekend in Valley Springs. The full release is enclosed. The Calaveras County Coronor released the name of the victim as 42-year-old Jimmy Floyd Minyard. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family during this terrible time.....
