South Lake Tahoe Man Arrested on Murder Charges after Allegedly Killing Roommate with Firewood

South Lake Tahoe, CA...South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1100 block of Carson Ave last Sunday at 2:45 PM. The initial report said a man was hitting a female with a large object. When officers arrived they found the victim, 65-year-old Valorie Turley, lying in front of her residence with significant head injuries.

TCSO Looking for Christopher Snyder after Hit & Run.

Columbia, CA...Last night deputies attempted to stop a green Honda Accord on Yankee Hill Road in Columbia for expired registration. As soon as the driver spotted the deputy, he took off. The deputy caught up with the vehicle and noticed it had slid off the roadway and collided into a metal gate in front of a home. As the deputy pulled his patrol car behind the Honda, the driver put his car in reverse and accelerated, slamming into the patrol car before taking off and leading the deputies in a pursuit. The driver later identified as 35-year-old Christopher Snyder of Sonora, stopped the car in a driveway on Glory Gulch Road and took off on foot. He is now wanted for evading, driving on a suspended license due to DUI, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Wanted Man Found With a Pound of Meth, Weapons & More!

Tuolumne, CA...Wanted man found with guns and drugs. On Saturday afternoon, Deputy Vince Lee spotted 24-year-old wanted man, Armando Gonzalez of Jamestown, running from an SUV at the Tuolumne Apartments. Gonzalez had several felony and misdemeanor warrants for his arrest and fled from the deputy into one of the apartments. When speaking to a resident at the door of the apartment, Gonzalez escaped through a window and and led deputies in a foot chase. Gonzalez was quickly captured and continued to resist arrest until he was secured in handcuffs.

Mokelumne Hill, CA...From the Calaveras Sheriff's Dept..."Two Squatters Arrested in Mokelumne Hill: On 1-11-19 at about 5:20pm CCSO Deputies responded to a residence in the 8000 block Campo Seco Turnpike in Mokelumne Hill after a realtor was going to show the residence and discovered dishes and a locked bedroom door. The realtor could also smell cigarette smoke coming from inside the bedroom.

Calaveras Sheriff's Frog Team Training

San Andreas, CA...Deputies newly appointed to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team underwent essential SCUBA certification this weekend. The Dive Team is a specialized unit within the Sheriff’s Office that is called out to recover drowning victims, evidence, and anything that would require entry into one of the many lakes, rivers, ponds and other man-made bodies of water in Calaveras County. The team conducts ongoing training even in cold weather months to prepare and be ready for deployments. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to remain safe around our local rivers during increased flow due to winter conditions.

Fleeing Suspect no Match for Tuolumne Sheriff K9 Beau

Jamestown, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...Just before 5 PM yesterday, a Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop on a white Chevy S10 pickup on Hwy 108 at Keystone Ranch. Driver, 43-year-old Darren Gerdes of Sonora who is wanted on several warrants, failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit Gerdes threw an item out of the truck that appeared to be a hypodermic needle. Gerdes led deputies to the Chicken Ranch Casino in Jamestown where he crashed his truck into a tree and fled on foot. Gerdes was apprehended quickly by K9 Beau and taken into custody. Deputies found methamphetamine during a search of the truck.

Mountain Ranch, CA...Kayla Faith Black is a runaway female, aged 16. She is 5'5" tall, 100 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. The attached photos indicate that she likes to dye her hair different colors. Her clothing is unknown at this point. Kayla has a past mental health history and did not take her medications prior to leaving. She is not believed to be a danger to herself at this time. Kayla was last seen on 1/6/19 at about 1600 hours and is believed to have been picked up by an unknown person from her rural home in Mountain Ranch, CA.

Burglary Suspect & Burglary Victims Arrested in Sonora

Sonora, CA...On Thursday morning, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at an apartment on Chukar Circle in Sonora. An alert neighbor reported seeing a man breaking into a second story apartment and throwing items from the balcony. The deputy arrived and saw a man matching the suspect’s description at a nearby unit. When the deputy contacted the suspect, 37-year-old Sean Evans, he took off running but was quickly apprehended. A search of Evans produced methamphetamine hidden in his clothing. Deputies found the backpack containing the stolen jewelry, cash, clothing and important paperwork at an apartment in the same complex belonging to 41-year-old Daniel Oliver and 30-year-old James Tracy Jr.

35 Year Old Arrested After Attacking Wheelchair Bound, Double Amputee

Sonora, CA...On January 3rd deputies responded to Avalon Health Care Center on Greenly Rd. in Sonora for a report of a man fighting with a resident. Deputies arrived and located 35-year-old Cesar Hernandez nearby the facility. Hernandez entered the care center and attacked a wheelchair bound, double amputee, disabled adult. When nurses tried to pull Hernandez off of the victim, Hernandez became physically aggressive hitting and kicking staff. Once Hernandez was removed from the facility he punched and threw chairs at the glass door causing it to break.
