Burglary for Tobacco at a Business in Valley Springs

Valley Springs, CA...Deputies responded to an alarm call around 0045 hours last night (2-1-18) at the Dollar Plus convenience store in Valley Springs. A suspect had thrown a rock through the business’ glass to enter the closed store. The suspect ran inside and grabbed an arm load of tobacco products before fleeing on foot leaving a trail of cigarette packs on the ground outside the business.

Tuolumne Deputy Noticed Something Wasn't Right!

Jamestown, CA...A deputy driving in the area of Hwy 108 and O’Byrnes Ferry Road in Jamestown stopped his patrol car yesterday morning, when he noticed something strange. There were two people sleeping inside a black Mercedes in the middle of the lane, while the car was still in drive. The car was immobile because it was on an uphill slope, but it was still a quite dangerous situation.

Indoor Marijuana Grow Eradicated on Amos Lane, Valley Springs

Valley Springs, CA..On 1-31-18 members of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence on Amos Lane, Valley Springs. This location was identified as having two personal medical marijuana cultivation registrations which would allow up to 200 square feet of total canopy area by a qualified patient. No subjects were located on scene during the search warrant and deputies found that a considerable area inside of this residence had been converted for marijuana cultivation. It was determined that the amount of marijuana was well in excess of what is allowed. Deputies seized 907 marijuana plants and just over 26 pounds of processed marijuana.

Mokelumne Hill Man Arrested on Stolen Vehicle and Assault Charges

Mokelumne Hill, CA...On 1-29-18 Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded for the second day in a row to a reported disturbance at a residence on Flat Gulch Road near Mokelumne Hill. During the initial call for service it was reported that 33 year old Jason Andahl (of Mokelumne Hill) was the suspect in an assault incident involving a female victim. During that incident it was also reported that Andahl had threatened witnesses. Andahl was gone prior to deputies’ arrival and he had not been located.

San Andreas, CA..At 1:46 am this morning, San Andreas CHP Officers were dispatched to a call of a red Ford Mustang that was doing “donuts” on the baseball field of San Andreas Elementary School. Prior to our Officers arriving on scene the vehicle fled the area.

Two Angels Camp Residents Arrested for Child Endangerment

Angels Camp, CA...On January 30, 2018 at approximately 4:50 A.M., officers from the Angels Camp Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of South Main Street to assist fire personnel with a residential structure fire. Officers arrived on scene and found three children under the age of 13 standing in front of the residence that was on fire. The children told the officers that they were left home alone and didn’t know where their parents were.

Female Cuts Victim’s Hand with a Box Cutter

Angels Camp, CA...On January 30, 2018 at approximately 12:15 A.M., officers from the Angels Camp Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Main Street for a report of a stabbing. The female suspect left the area before the victim called for assistance.
