Angels Camp, CA...(Looking Back During the Shutdown) Ladies, Gents, Boys & Girls...The 2019 Calaveras County Fair & Frog Jump Jubilee is underway. The Youth Parade led the way through Historic Downtown Angels Camp. The clouds parted and the sun made an appearance to welcome in the festivities. One interesting thing was the abundance of camera crews with very expensive equipment on hand getting footage in the can. We asked who they were shooting for and there is a Netflix crew in town for this weekend to shoot a documentary on the Frog Jump and what it takes to win. So if Rosie the Ribbiter's record falls it will become part of a Netflix Feature.
Lots of Additional Photos Enclosed...

San Andreas, CA...Looking for a lovely senior kitty? Meet Molly, a shorthaired buff and cream-colored adult approximately 12-14 years of age. Molly adores having her head gently rubbed and her ears scratched when the mood suits her. Otherwise, she enjoys a quiet place – preferably on a fluffy pillow in front of a sunny window – where she is content to observe her humans and the world around her. We feel Molly would do best in a calm household with adults and perhaps older children who would understand that sometimes Molly craves attention and at other times needs her space. Molly also gets along well with other friendly felines but shows no real interest in wanting to interact with them. Also, Molly has never been outside and will need to remain an inside-only kitty.

Bear Valley, CA...It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of this summer’s Bear Valley Music Festival. It was a painful decision, but the health and safety of our musicians, crew, audience, volunteers and residents of Bear Valley and the surrounding area is our top priority. After much discussion and consultation, we determined that there was too much risk with moving forward with a late July festival.

Heartwarming School Projects from Michelson Elementary |

Murphys, CA...We are 3rd grade teachers at Michelson Elementary in Murphys, and we wanted to share a recent experience we had in our online Google Classroom. We are hoping to spread some gratitude and cheer with a heartfelt project we have recently done. Switching to online learning (on March 16) has been hard on our students for so many reasons, but the most prevalent is that they do not get to see their friends and learn through the hands on, discussion-based methods that we are so accustomed to. To ease this social sadness, we have been hosting daily Google Meets to catch up, visit, and teach simple lessons. On Fridays, we've been trying to meet up, relax, and do a fun activity together. This week we decided to draw health workers and make thank you cards.
