Calaveras Big Trees State Park Was Filled on Discovery Day |

Arnold, CA...We stopped by Calaveras Big Trees State Park on Saturday Morning to see how Discovery Day was going. It was going well and the park was packed as the first line of business was to find a parking spot. All of the main lots were filled and there were two spots left when we arrived. So based on the lack of parking evidence we deduced that Discovery Day was a unqualified success.

Arnold, CA...The White Pines Park was filled with Rolling Art again this year. This was the second year in their new location after outgrowing their Cedar Center location. The show has something for everyone. Hot Rods, Classics, Military, Sports Cars, Blown Hydros, Motorcycles & much more. We tried to get at least one shot of every entrant and will start sorting photos tonight. In the meantime we do have the video portion of our coverage is finished. It is below and photos will be added tomorrow....

Murphys, CA...There will be something entertaining for each and every member of the family during the multi-faceted Murphys Homecoming Weekend stretching from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21 in and around the cool environs of the Murphys Community Park. The park activities will include the Murphys Old Timers Museum’s 70th Birthday Celebration on Friday, the traditional Murphys Homecoming on Saturday, and the Murphys School of Music’s Music Fest on Sunday. At each event there will be food, wine, beer and other drinks for sale. The park’s Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license prohibits the bringing of wine, beer or liquor into the park at any of the events. Friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a series of small town America gatherings.
