Arnold, CA...The Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge Children's Easter Party. Kids’ fun planned at April 13 Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge Easter party. Children, age 10 and younger, can play games, do crafts, decorate Easter cookies, have their face painted and meet the Easter Bunny, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge, 1965 Blagen Road, White Pines (near Arnold). The free family event will also feature a raffle for children to win new bicycles and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Admission is free and is open to all.

Volunteer Appreciation Month at Mark Twain Medical Center

San Andreas, CA...The month of April is dedicated to honoring all the volunteers in a community and encouraging volunteerism overall. Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation honored the Mark Twain Hospital volunteers during an appreciation lunch on April 9th. With the theme “Volunteers Bowl Us Over” the event highlighted their many hours spent spreading kindness throughout the hospital and family medical centers. This year the hospital volunteers were recognized for a combined 82,100 hours of volunteering.

Arnold, CA...Ebbetts Pass Fire Fighters Association would like to invite all community members that would like more information on Measure A, to attend our Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday April 10th at 6pm. The meeting will be held in White Pines at the Independence Hall on Blagen road. Fire Chief Mike Johnson will give a presentation of facts explaining Measure A and will be able to answer questions regarding the Measure. The Ebbetts Pass Fire Fighters Association will have members in attendance to provide support signs to the public.

Lake Alpine, CA...From Caltrans District 10...A Wall Of Snow Greets Caltrans' Crew As Season Clearing of Ebbetts Pass/State Route 4 Begins. Caltrans crews started clearing the Ebbetts Pass for the 2019 summer season and were met by a 15' wall of snow they'll have to cut through as they work their way up to the summit over the next 2 months. We managed to get up there just minutes before Equipment Operator II Eric Thomas made the first pass with the rotary blower and the crew is off and running.
