Bear Valley, CA...The 5th annual Nickolay Dodov Slopestyle Competition is happening at Bear Valley! It will be a day full of friends, fun, and good vibes! Registration starts at 9 am in the Sun Room with practice runs beginning at 10 am. The slopestyle competition will begin at 11 am with awesome prizes being awarded after the competition. Cost is $20 to participate.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! What a beautiful day ahead with a high of 51F and NE winds from 8-14mph. Continued high pressure ridging will dominate the West coast for another week. Things look to warm up a few degrees more as Easter approaches and next Tuesday looks to be the peak temp with a possible 55F! Conditions are prime for everyone and spring is here and you should be too! The coming weekend looks to be a stellar one for Easter fun so come on up and check out what we have to offer. Angels Camp, CA...Calaveras Deputy Sheriff’s Association Proudly Presents the Annual Erica Seawell and Sheriff Gary Kuntz Memorial Golf Tournament. Sunday, April 22, 2018, Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort, Angels Camp, CA 8:00 am check in 9:00 am Shotgun Start, Entry Fee: $125.00. In memory of Erica Seawell and Sheriff Gary Kuntz, scholarship funds have been set up for 7 separate scholarships to be given to Calaveras and Bret Harte students. At this year’s tournament, we will award 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Last Place prizes for your gross score. A long drive contest and closest to the pin contest will also take place during the tournament. Entry fee includes golf, cart, on course contests, mulligans, 10 raffle tikets and dinner.

Murphys, CA...Registrations are now being accepted from cyclists throughout the Motherlode and beyond for the eleventh annual Mr. Frog’s Wild Ride to be held in the verdant hills of Calaveras County on Saturday, April 14. John Zunino, who is himself a successful bicycle racer at the national level, is this year’s ride director. The ride has become one of the most popular cycling events in northern California. It features two scenic routes, the Wild Ride of approximately 50k and the Wilder Ride of approximately 100k. Riders will wend their way through the countryside at the height of the wildflower season. The longer ride will also include the New Melones Lake area.
