San Andreas, CA....On Wednesday Night over 200 of Calaveras County's best & brightest were rewarded for 12 years of hard work. There was Pomp & Circumstance, awards, speeches and much more. We have tried to provide an archive of the event for those who could not attend and also for those who did to be able to go back and have another look. Avery, CA...The Avery Middle School held their 8th grade graduation last Thursday night. With the pine trees and mountains in the background it was an idyllic setting for another great group of our local now young adults to take another step on their education career. The 70 young graduates were resplendent in their robes and are now ready to march forward into high school....

The Bret Harte Theatre was filled with proud parents, grand parents, friends and well wishers as they heard of the scholarships and accolades members of the Bret Harte Class Of 2014 received. The scholarship totals were impressive as well as. The 93 of our young scholars received $186,436.00 in assistance to further their education. Congratulations to all and the recipients and contributing groups are enclosed....
