Two Columbia College Physics Students Speak at Space Science Conference

Columbia, CA...Two Columbia College students submitted abstracts for a space science conference at the NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View and were selected as guest speakers. Matt Castleberry of Sonora and Wim Laws of San Andreas spoke at the “Education for the Future” session of the "CONTACT" Conference on April 5, 2008.....

Valley Springs, CA....The 1st Annual Valley Springs "Train Times" was held ton Saturday at the revitalized Historic Valley Springs Train Depot at Hwy 12 and 26. This event drew quite a crowd throughout the day, guessed at approximately 800-1000 people. There was live music by "The George Haggerty Band", delicious ice cream and food, vendor booths ranging from shoes to trains to art to massage, train displays, and historical presentations were given throughout the day. Railroad and history buffs from throughout the region joined in this community wide event....

Murphys Preschool is a non-profit, parent cooperative Preschool located in the Old Murphys Schoolhouse. Their school is operated by tuition and fundraising.
