Arnold, CA...Matthew McCullough, an 11 year old boy who resides in Arnold and attends Avery Middle School, found out he had a brain tumor on February 28th, 2008. He was then taken to Stanford Medical Center for surgery and now his treatments. They removed the Tumor, but on Thursday March 6th, the family found out the Tumor was Cancer. The name of his Tumor is Medulloblastoma and it is malignant. He now needs to have Radiation and Chemotherapy. Matt started his six weeks of Radiation treatments on March 26th and then will have Chemotherapy, for about ten months afterwards. He hopes to feel better at the end of the treatments.....

San Andreas, CA...In a great move the county is offering the public complete access to the Calaveras County Board of Supervisor "Board Packets!" Each week all of the documentation needed for the Supervisors to do their jobs is provided to them in their Packets. Each week members of the press have also been allowed to have access to these "Board Packets" as well. Angels Camp, CA….Four young eighth grade beauties signed up to run for this years Jr. Miss Calaveras pageant today. Murphys, CA...Another fatality has occurred along Murphys Grade Road. Authorities are recovering the body of a deceased male motorcyclist that perished when his Harley Davidson left the roadway near the spot where a young local Iraq Veteran passed away when the car he and some young friends were riding in went into the creek last year. Blue Lake Springs, CA.....A part time Blue Lake Springs resident, was getting ready to take a shower last night, and was faced with a little surprise....a bat had taken up residence in the shower curtain. He went to corral the critter to move outdoors, but with his lacking skills in bat-catching, he tried to capture it in a ever so popular Trader Joe's bag.
