CCWD Is Rapidly Storing Water For Your Use Later |

San Andreas, CA...The San Antonio Creek was at flood stage today after a powerful storm over the weekend. This creek is one of the main tributaries of the Calaveras River, which flows into New Hogan Reservoir near Valley Springs. Since January 1, Hogan's water level has risen by more than 30,000 acre feet. CCWD uses water released from Hogan to serve more than 10,000 customers in the greater Valley Springs area.

San Andreas, CA...Joel Harold Springer III, born December 11, 1948 in San Francisco, CA, age 68, residing at 4656 High Country Road, PO Box 1506, San Andreas, CA, died January 1, 2017, at home in San Andreas, of natural causes. Joel had a master’s degree from San Francisco State University.
Joel was a teacher, having taught at George Washington High School in San Francisco, and at Calaveras High School in San Andreas, and was currently substituting at several of the schools in Calaveras and Amador Counties. He also was a paralegal and a notary and had worked as assistant grand secretary at the Masonic Grand Lodge of California.
