Man Dies In Shooting On Oak Haven Lane, Sheriff's Office Investigating

Wilseyville, CA...On 09/16/16, at about 0515 hours, Deputies responded to 2900 block of Oak Haven Lane, in Wilseyville, for a report of a shooting. Deputies learned that a resident shot a male subject who allegedly refused to leave and confronted the residents outside of the home. The subject succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Marijuana Plant Robber Nabbed In Fresno

San Andreas, CA...On 08-28-16 at 10:30 AM, Calaveras Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 3000 block of Central Hill Road in San Andreas to investigate a robbery in which marijuana plants were taken. Calaveras County Detectives and the Calaveras County District Attorney’s Investigator were able to identify the alleged male suspect as Alexander Concepcion out of Fresno. Detectives contacted Fresno Police Department to assist in locating the suspect.

24 Year Old San Jose Man Loses Life In Motorcycle Collision

Rail Road Flat, CA...At 24 year old San Jose man lost his life this afternoon in a collision on Jesus Maria Road. He was riding his 2001 Suzuki southbound on Jesus Maria Rd at an unknown speed. A Valley Springs woman was driving a Chevy Malibu southbound on Jesus Maria Rd and was stopped partially blocking the southbound traffic lane and partially on the west shoulder. As the rider approached he applied his brakes but, due to his unsafe speed, he was unable to stop in time. The motorcycle rear ended the Chevy. He was partially ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a full face DOT approved helmet at the time of this collision.

San Andreas, CA..Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 18th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 24th from 7am to noon at the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “We are once again delighted to provide these needed health and well-being services at a low cost for our community,” said Bob Diehl, Hospital President. “MTMC will continue to enhance and build upon the healthcare needs for those that we are privileged to serve. We are grateful for the continued collaboration at this event with the many outstanding organizations that align with our Mission, Vision and Values. This will be a great event for families and friends alike! The Mokelumne Hill Lions Club will be here once again to serve up their local favorite pancake breakfast benefiting the youth in our community.”

Michael Nicholas Kriletich 1953-2016, Celebration Of Life September 24th!

Paloma, CA...Michael Kriletich was born in San Leandro, CA on February 10, 1953. He attended the seminary on Mt Diablo from age 14 to age 18. At 19 he met Diane Jenkins and 2 years later they were married. Together they formed a loving couple and tight team for over 41 years of marriage. Michael and Diane began their family along Wallace Creek, a remote canyon in the Santa Cruz Mountains. After their two sons, Sean and Wade were born, the family moved to Jackson and then, in 1985, to Paloma.

San Andreas, CA....Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction activities on State Route 49 (SR-49). Work will occur as follows: A 24-hour closure of the #1 (left) lane and right shoulder on northbound SR-49 from Main Street to Poole Station Road for utility potholing beginning Monday, September 12, 2016, through Friday, September 16, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. One-way traffic control on northbound and southbound SR-49 from San Antonio Creek to Carol Kennedy Drive for drainage work beginning Monday, September 12, 2016, through Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The #1 (left) lane and right shoulder will close on northbound SR-49 from Mountain Ranch Road to Main Street in San Andreas for pavement work beginning Monday, September 12, 2016, through Friday, September 16, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
