The program was initiated in 1992 and today has over 700 volunteers statewide. Over 800 "Clifton Strong" Fill Mark Twain Hall In Support Of Kraig Clifton & Family |

Angels Camp, CA...Last night at Frogtown the sold out dinner and overflowing Mark Twain Hall proved yet again why Calaveras County and rural small town America are the best places to have bad stuff happen. Calaveras High Men's Basketball Coach Kraig Clifton is fighting Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. Kraig and his family know for certain that they are not in this fight alone. In our area when someone faces one of life's battles they fight with not only family and close friends but in many instances entire communities behind them. Kraig who starred for Sonora High & Columbia College as a player before his Calaveas High Coaching career knows he and his family have Calaveras, Tuolumne counties and more are firmly behind them.
If you couldn't get a ticket to last night's dinner their is a GoFundme page set up and Well Fargo Bank can accept donations in Kraig Clifton's behalf. A few more details on Kraig's fight from the gofundme page are below. If you click any photo above it will take you to their gofundme page... |

San Andreas, CA....On Friday Head Building Official Jeff White retired after 30 years of service to Calaveras County. We had the pleasure of interviewing him on Thursday. We talked for 1/2 half hour or so on how the improvements in building codes have increased the safety of homes, will make homes to be rebuilt in the Butte Fire are increasingly fire safe including homes with fire sprinklers...
We recorded about 1/2 hour of video of our interview but a camera malfunction made the first 20 minutes unusable. Above is the final portion of the video where he summarizes what we discussed luckily makes at least some of it salvageable |
