San Andreas, CA...December 16 2014 the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt a resolution dedicating 6.93 acres of Calaveras County owned property for development of the Calaveras County Animal Services. This acreage will be leased to the Calaveras Humane Society to design and fund a New Animal Shelter....

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Water District is pleased to welcome three new board members, who took their oaths of office at their first board meeting on Wednesday, December 17. District 3 Director Bertha Underhill was elected president, and District 2 Director Terry Strange was elected vice president – both won their seats in November. Also new to the board is District 4 Director Dennis Mills....

Calaveras County Draft General Plan Now Available For Public Review |

San Andreas, CA...The Draft General Plan for Calaveras County is now available for public review and comment. The release on December 18, 2014 begins a 90-day review period. The draft plan is available on the Planning Department’s web site. Hard copies will be available for viewing at the Planning Department, all County library branches, and may be purchased at the San Andreas Print Shop. A disc containing all of the Draft General Plan documents may also be purchased from the Planning Department. Draft #3 of the Land Use Map will be posted at the Planning Department and will be available for on-line viewing beginning the week of December 22nd. Additional information enclosed....

San Andreas, CA...Come to the Board of Supervisors Meeting 16 December / 9AM. Three history making items are on the agenda for vote. These three items will forever change Calaveras Humane Society and Calaveras County Animal Services. We've been waiting years. The time is here! At this meeting the Board of Supervisors will vote on whether or not to dedicate acreage to be leased to Calaveras Humane Society to fund the building of an New Animal Shelter. They will also vote whether or not to accept two modular units the Friends of the Animal Services and Calaveras Humane Society have secured. We need you there to show the Board of Supervisors we want these items voted in. We do that by filling the Board of Supervisors Chambers....
