Board of Supevisors Back in Action Tuesday Morning |

San Andreas, CA....The Board of Supervisors will be back in action Tuesday morning for their first May meeting at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed will be a Resolution Item commending Jeannene White, District 5 representative on the Calaveras County Fish & Game Commission for her years of service; A Resolution Item awarding the bid for herbicides to the Wilbur Ellis Company in the amount of $60,493,93.00; A Resolution authorizing the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office to pursue regional radio communications planning and federal funding requests with the Alpine County Sheriffs Office; A Minute Order authorizing a contract for law enforcement services at New Hogan Lake in the amount not to exceed $45,784.25 effective May 2, 2008 through September 28, 2008. Calaveras County, CA...There are four more Candidates Nights for your enjoyment coming up next week. The first will be District 4 Candidates held on May 5 at 6:30pm at the Native Sons Hall in Murphys. Lee Seaton, Tom Tryon, Sarah Lunsford and Ron Klass will all be present to respond to questions asked by the moderator and also the audience. The 2nd will be District I on May 7th at 6:30pm at San Andreas Town Hall. Candidates Zarrell McDaniel, Gary Tofanelli and Kathy Mazzeferro will be present. San Andreas, CA.....The Calaveras County Planning Commission is back in action Thursday morning at 9am. There will be three Public Hearings. The first is for a Zoning Amendment for Lawrence Smith; The 2nd is a Zoning Amendment for Berghouse-Triano Development, LLC; and the third is a General Plan Amendment for Ventana LLC. Burson, CA...Jeremy Arron Rupe passed away on April 23rd in San Andreas. A native of Modesto, moved to Valley Springs with his family in 2000. His family had just recently moved to Burson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a sophomore at Calaveras High School and was very well liked. He died of natural causes... |

San Andreas, CA...There was an escaped debris burn that spread to a small spot of vegetation on April 25th at 156 Pope Street in San Andreas. No dollar damages or injuries reported. CAL Fire report enclosed....
