Outgoing Technology Services Department Head, Howard W. Stohlman will be honored for his over 29 years of service with Calaveras County. Calaveras County Arts Council receives $1500 from Calaveras County Office of Education |

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras Arts Council (CCAC) announces that the Calaveras County Office of Education (CCOE) County Superintendent, Kathy Northington, awarded them $1500 to help fund their Arts in the School Program (aka Arts in Ed) for the 2013-2014 school year. This is not, however, a one year funding. CCOE is so supportive of the program that they have allocated funds annually for almost as long as the program has existed....

San Andreas, CA....Rex is a 62 pound mutt about 5 years old. He is a sweet boy with an exuberant personality. He will greet you with a warm smile and an enthusiatic wag of the tail. Rex needs training but, he is eager to learn. A physically strong but, gentle hearted soul would be perfect for Rex as he is also strong but, gentle hearted. Rex is a big boy so, we don't recommend a family with small children, also no cats or goats. Rex has been at the shelter for awhile and would really love to find his forever home.

San Andreas, CA...Kenny & Tammy Lee are expanding Family 4 Fitness to San Andreas. We stopped by a couple of days ago and the equipment is in and Kenny and his crew are getting everything put together and ready. Their official opening date is February 1st and they will probably have a soft opening before that. If you join now you can workout at the Vallecito location for free until the San Andreas gym is ready...
