Valley Springs, CA...Lorie Christine Muma. December 8, 1965 – March 11, 2013
Lorie Christine Muma, age 47, of Sacramento died Monday, March 11, 2013 after being struck by a commuter train while walking her bicycle across the tracks. Lorie was born on December 8, 1965 in Stockton, Ca to Clarence and Carol Muma. A caring and loving woman Lorie is preceded in death by both of her parents, Clarence and Carol Muma and Grandparents. Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Lorie is survived by her children, Christopher (Rachelle) Fowler of Lodi, CA, Vanessa Fowler of Roseville, CA, Roselea Cardoza of Santa Cruz, CA and Jesse Cardoza of Santa Cruz, CA; brothers, Timothy Muma of Sacramento CA, Daniel Muma of Stockton, CA; Sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Lay of Valley Springs, CA and Elizabeth Dias of Fremont CA. Animal Services staff and Humane Society shelter volunteers are there to help you find the right match for your family. The visiting hours are Wednesday through Friday 10am-1pm and 2pm to 4pm. You can also visit on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. It looks like spring has sprung, why not share the great outdoors with your new best friend? Calaveras County Water District Refinances Loan for a Sizeable Savings |

SAN ANDREAS, CA – During Calaveras County Water Districts (District) February 27, 2013 Board Meeting, it was announced that District staff had just closed a loan with BBVA Compass that refinanced the District’s 2004 Refunding Revenue Bonds. The Refunding Revenue Bonds were set to mature in September 2017 with interest rates between 4.0% and 4.5%.
District staff saw an opportunity to refinance the Bonds into a new loan which carries a 1.58% interest rate while still keeping the September 2017 maturity date. By refinancing the $7.4 million loan at a lower interest rate with BBVA Compass Bank, the District will save $324,000 over the next four years... |

Over forty community health related service groups will participate in this community-wide event.
