Wells Fargo Foundation Donates $2,500 for Youth Mentoring

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program was honored recently with a $2,500 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation. Longtime mentor and Wells Fargo customer Don Amo brought the mentoring program to Wells Fargo’s attention. Don and his mentee Sam were matched in the program for more than five years before Sam graduated from high school, and they are still close friends. Don is also a member of the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program’s Advisory Committee, where he became aware of the program’s effort to attract Wells Fargo support...

San Andreas, CA...Christopher Scott Robinson so sadly passed away on January 20, 2012. He was 30. A native of San Andreas Chris has lived all of his life there. He workded in Construction for many years and had been working for R.E.O. in Valley Springs. He was applying to be a member of E.Vitas Clanpus. Too Many Hands on the Wheel in Hwy 12 Accident

San Andreas, CA...Two Burson men were traveling westbound on Hwy 12 just west of the North Fork Calaveras River. The driver looked to his right. As he looked right he allowed his vehicle to enter the westbound shoulder. As he attempted to regain control his passenger grabbed the steering wheel and turned it to the left. The driver was unable to regain proper control of the vehicle due to his passengers steering input..

Mountain Ranch, CA...Peter was a loving Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Spouse, and Friend. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a sheet metal worker in the Bay area, before moving to Mountain Ranch in 1982. He served proudly in the U.S. Army and was a one-of-a-kind man who always had a helping hand to lend and a laugh to share. We will all miss him dearly...
