I grew up riding motorcycles and for the most part of my young life, after getting my driver’s license at sixteen that became my mode of transportation. It was not until I realized that serious dating required a car that I bought my sweet little ’66 Mustang the pride of my life at that time. No one drove my Tang . . . until I met my wife and then I never drove it again . . . I drove my beat up ’54 Ford pick-up she drove the Tang....

Copperopolis, CA...Yesterday morning a 43 year old Sonora women was heading northbound on O'Byrnes Ferry Road approaching Reeds Turnpike intersection. As she was turning left she noticed Reeds Turnpike was under construction and hesitated in the lane. The oncoming GMC driven by a 51 year old Valley Springs man did not have time to react and a collision ensued that sent the driver of the GMC and a 67 year old Sonora women to Modesto Hospitals by medi-flight with moderate injuries...

After a wide search that resulted in candidates applying from across a broad spectrum of locations and with diverse and varied backgrounds, the Board of Directors met with the top candidates and selected Jeff Millar to fill the position that has been vacant since the voluntary demotion of Chief Keith Cantrell.....

Copperopolis, CA...Unprecedented and unsettling. Standard & Poor's issued a historic downgrade of U.S. debt on August 5, sensibly waiting until the market week had concluded to send a shock wave toward global investors. It reduced America's long-term debt rating - which had been AAA since 1941 - to AA+.1. S&P felt Congress did too little too late. The credit rating agency had threatened to lower the boom if Congress passed any deficit reduction plan smaller than $4 trillion in scope. The Budget Control Act of 2011 "falls short of what, in our view, would be necessary to stabilize the government's medium-term debt dynamics," an S&P statement noted. It also retained its "negative" credit outlook on the U.S....

Copperopolis, CA.....On 07/12/11 Patrol Deputies noticed a vehicle parked on the Vista Point off of HWY 4 in Copperopolis. The Deputies pulled their marked vehicle in the Vista Point parking lot and made contact with a Hispanic male later identified as (s) Renata Abundes. The Deputies asked (s) Abundes if he had any illegal item in the vehicle. (s) Abundes told one of the Deputies that he had a line of "coke on the dashboard all chopped up and ready to use." The Deputies looked in the vehicle and noticed a CD case with a white....

| Virgil Reid Ryan Rosario was born June 29,2011 at 10:34 am to Sgt. Ryan and Michaela Rosario of Fort Lewis, GA. He arrived at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah weighing 8lbs 4 oz and 19.5 in. His grandparents are Robert and Dyana Moore of Copperopolis, Del and Stacie Albright of Mokelumne Hill and Danny and Lynn Rosario of Reno. Great Grandparents are George and Joan Loomis of Angels Camp, Barbara Cheney of Copperopolis, Barbara Raby of Reno and Judy and Lou Papais of Murphys. His siblings are Melodie, 3 and Matthew 21 months. |
