Camps Restaurant, Greenhorn Creek, Angels Camp, CA....Tonight's meeting of the Angels Camp Business Association (ACBA) offered a chance for businesses coming to our community to introduce themselves in person. Calaveras Fairgrounds, Mark Twain Hall, Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras County Junior Livestock Boosters came through again tonight, as the Mark Twain Hall was full to capacity with local folk ready for a full meal. time to spend with their friends, and a chance to celebrate and support our local youth raising livestock for sale at this years upcoming Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jumping Jubilee. 25 or more years back, kids raising stock in our community offered that stock at auction at the fair; and those kids came out with a loss.....

One of these early treats is rhubarb. In childhood, I remember being fed rhubarb sauce on my morning cereal, rhubarb pie for dessert, and my Mom telling tales of being sent to the garden with a bag of sugar to find a rhubarb stalk to dip and nibble. It was a coveted delicacy in my family with a unique and charming flavor. ....
