Copperopolis, CA....A $250,000 deficit means serious changes must occur to offer adequate service. Already we have seen Station 2 suffer from the economic crisis. As a result of what has essentially become a part time fire station, residents in that part of the District can count on increased response times of 12-15 minutes. That IS the difference between life and death. What is the solution? I am no expert but I can tell you what it is not. CFD cannot cut any more services. They cannot lay off any other employees. They cannot become entangled in any more litigation's and they CANNOT afford a new building.....

Copperopolis, CA...As 2010 winds down there is a big event in Copperopolis that took place we wanted to highlight....This year was a huge 150th Birthday Party for the growing community along Hwy 4. We posted half of the story on the big homecoming parade. As we were getting ready to post our second installment on Copper 150th Celebration, we had received the sad news that local Marine, Gavin Brummund had lost his life in Afghanistan. We didn't think it would have been the best to post the story when our area was grieving of the loss of our local hero. So here we are in the waning hours of 2010 and we hope you enjoy the photos and video...
