A Funny Story About the Little Black Dress~by Charity Maness

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 12/16/2009 11:43 AM
"I forgot to tell you a funny story. I had to go to a Christmas party for my husbands work a couple weekends ago. Dressy, city, and lots of people I didn't know. Being a social butterfly (a lot like you) it wasn't that difficult to walk in and make friends, but the job was made so much easier by a fan of yours. In my last "Welcone to the Country" that I sent to you, it mentioned the black dress that shrunk in the closet over the summer. so...In walks this lady, who I had never met, she takes one look at me, smiles a huge great smile and she says to me, "Don't tell me! Is that the little black dress that shrunk?" I was astounded! She follows my column...in San Carlos. Go figure! You guys are read far and wide!"

Welcome to the Country..... So You’ve Decided to Move to the country where the Language Changes with the Season~by Charity Maness

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 12/14/2009 10:37 PM

Was that his lazy attempt at shortening WD-40? And what the heck was a topo map? As if WD-40 was not short enough already. One look of stunned amazement from my husband and a knowing disappointed shake of his head I knew I was missing .......

Welcome to the Country...So you’ve decided to move to the country where the need for “dress” clothing has all but disappeared~by Charity Maness

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 12/04/2009 10:28 AM
Okay, it’s that time of year again. The time for multiple seasonal parties. There will be some parties that you most certainly want to attend and look forward to with great anticipation. Then there are the parties that require your attendance due to the fact that you are a friend of a friend or related to someone who knows someone, or you may even know someone relatively important. Whatever party it may be, “dressing up” in the country can be a challenge....

Calaveras County, CA...Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Leslie Rabeneau, a lovely woman and long time resident of Copperopolis, who passed away on Wednesday December 2nd. She leaves behind a loving husband, children, grandchildren, along with her wonderful sister Terri Burke and husband, and many loving friends.
