Operator Error Leads to Dirt Bike Rider in Jail. |

Pine Grove, CA...Saturday night, one of our patrol deputies spotted a green enduro style dirt bike in the Red Corral area that linked to a reported armed suspect earlier this week. The driver of dirt bike was speeding and crossing over the double yellow lines so our deputy attempted to stop him. But, he fled and our deputy was forced to give chase. The pursuit ended on Dunshee Road in Pine Grove when the rider decided to go off-road into the woods.

Home, Barn & 12 Acres Burn on Friday Afternoon In Lake Camanche Area |

Jackson, CA...From the Amador Sheriff's Office.."Around 3:30 this afternoon the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible barn on fire in the area of Coal Mine Road and Reservation Road. Due to the wind and dry fuels the fire quickly spread, triggering evacuations along Camanche Parkway North, Coal Mine Road, Reservation Road, and Buena Vista Road. As of 6:30 P.M. the fire was fully contained, but sadly the barn and one home were destroyed. No injuries have been reported, all evacuations have been lifted, and a total of 12 acres were burned. The cause of the fire remains under investigation

Fake Eradication Team Steals 500 Marijuana Plants, Cash & Ford F250 Pickup in West Point |

West Point, CA...On 10/13/17 at about 2030 hours Calaveras County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received a call of a robbery that occurred earlier in the day. Deputies responded to the 22000 block of Hwy 26 in West Point to investigate the incident. Once on scene deputies were informed by the victims that the incident occurred earlier in the day at a marijuana grow site located on Skull Flat Road, West Point. The four victims informed deputies that two vehicles entered the property on Skull Flat Road with the vehicle occupants identifying themselves as law enforcement. The victims said that there were between five to six suspects and at least three of them were armed with guns. Two of the victims were tied up by the suspects. One of the suspects reportedly was wearing a badge during this incident but did not display any other law enforcement identification or markings. The suspects left the property with approximately five hundred marijuana plants, a large amount of cash, and also stole a black colored Ford F250 truck bearing California license plate #8D04533. The identity of the suspects is unknown and the two suspect vehicles were described as a silver sport utility vehicle and a red truck (pictures attached).
