Search Continues For Lodi Man Missing In Lake Camanche

Ione, CA...From the Amador Sheriff's Dept..."Last night we received another tragic reminder of how dangerous our waterways can be. The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call just before 9 P.M. advising us that a man was missing in Lake Camanche. Deputies responded and learned that a 24 year old Lodi man was swimming in the lake with a friend when he became tired and could no longer remain afloat. The Sheriff’s Office launched our patrol boat and searched the area, but we were unable to locate the missing man.

Jackson, CA...Update...Tragically this one has become another local fatality. The collision location also was updated to just south of the river which put another fatality in the San Andreas, CHP area. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims family and friends. Life can be so short. CHP is reporting an motorcycle down near Sr49 / Electra Rd. A nurse on scene says the rider moving. Hwy 49 is backed up at this time...

Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 88 from the Amador/Alpine County line to the California/Nevada state line for striping. Work will begin Monday, June 12, 2017, through Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Utility Work on Hwy 49 from Mormon Creek Road to Rawhide Road

Amador County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing one-way traffic control on northbound and southbound State Route 49 from Mormon Creek Road to Rawhide Road for utility work. Work will be done Friday, June 16, 2017, from 6:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
Paving on Hwy 88 from Volcano Pioneer Road to Golf Links Drive
