Kirkwood, CA...Clltrans is reporting that Hwy 88 is now closed in the Carson Spur area east of Silver Lake. Typically they close the pass here for avalanche control. They have not given an expected reopening time. So is you are heading up to ski this morning Bear Valley is the choice today. Chain controls are in effect past Arnold..

Pioneer, CA...CHP is reporting an overturned Jeep off the roadway near Hwy 88 & Tabeau Road. The driver reported feeling like he was hanging. Please use caution in the area and let's pray this one has a happy outcome.
