Measles Outbreak Reminds of Vaccination Importance |

| Sutter Creek, CA – California Department of Public Health confirms 117 cases of measles in the state to date. There are no cases currently in Amador County. Amador County Public Health continues to monitor the outbreak and recognizes that it may continue to spread in California. “This is a good reminder of the importance of vaccination,” states Dr. Rita Kerr, Amador County Health Officer. “Measles is a very contagious and potentially severe vaccine-preventable disease that spreads through the air and by contact with an infected person.” |

Traffic Update...Geese & Turkeys In The Roadway Near Curran Roand & Village Drive |

Ione, CA...CHP is reporting geese and turkeys running in the roadway near Curran Road and Village Drive. A neighbor says this is an ongoing problem and the resident leaves them out. Well since the geese are "Free Range" they can't be for Foie gras. Please use caution in the area..

| Pioneer, CA...Earlier this morning there was something we don't see everyday. An old Ford pickup was reported turning circles on Hwy 88 near Buckhorn. Traffic was backed up while they waited for it to run out of gas. How they determined it was on empty while it was moving is still undetermined. Traffic was backed up for awhile but the incident has been cleared. Welcome to 2015 everyone.... |
