The Clothes Mine is Bringing Saks Fifth Avenue Experience to Main Street

Angels Camp, CA....We had the pleasure last week to chat with The Clothes Mine's Tracy & James Lindenberger. They are among a growing segment of our local small business owners that are bringing major market, experience and knowledge to small town America. Tracy is a former Saks Fifth Avenue store manager and the couple even met while working at Saks. The retail and fashion industry has been their career choice. One of the things they have enjoyed about the transition to a more personal relationship with their customers is they can buy and stock with an eye how the fashions will actually look on local customers. Their beautiful Angels Camp location even has a full bridal section upstairs in addition to the latest fashions....

These coincide with National 4-H Week, October 6 through 12, 2013. 4-H members will celebrate this centennial anniversary by using their heads, hearts, hands and health to positively affect their local communities, just as 4-H has done for the past 100 years. Caltrans Making State Route 12 & Interstate 5 Safer And Smarter

Lodi, CA..Caltrans announced that work is being completed on a $21 million project creating a “smart corridor” using Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology on State Route 12 in Solano, Sacramento, and San Joaquin counties and on Interstate 5 in San Joaquin County. “This technology will make these highways safer for everyone and provide motorists real-time information they can use to make smart choices and steer clear of traffic incidents, roadwork, and bad weather,” said Caltrans Director Malcolm Dougherty....

Gold Rush Day is October 19th

Angels Camp, CA...GOLD RUSH DAY is an annual event recognizing a historical landmark in the Gold Rush town of Angels Camp. Last year, the first event, the historical landmark was “100 years since the city’s incorporation” and was celebrated with the also historical closing of Hwy 49/S. Main St., making way for a Street Fair and downtown celebration. This years event is in celebration of “165 years since the founding of Angels Camp” in 1848. Going forward, the annual celebrations will include the same, a closing of Hwy. 49/S. Main St., Street Fair, activities and entertainment. Angels Camp Commemorative Committee anticipates 5,000 + people will come for a day of celebration in our Historic downtown and Utica Park areas...
