Arnold, CA...The Golf Committee has put together a terrific event for this year's Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. This is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, June 21st at the Sequoia Woods Country Club. It is a scramble format with a 1:00 pm shotgun start and I want you to be a part of it! This Tournament allows us to give away 2 graduating High School Seniors Scholarships. The cost for the Tournament is $100 per player and $400 per foursome and it includes a great dinner following golf. We will have a raffle and sponsored holes as well. Please put together a foursome (whether you plan to play or not), and sponsor a hole, just $100.00 and be a part of this important Chamber event.

Anderson, CA -- The Sierra Pacific Foundation, the philanthropic organization founded by the Emmerson Family, recently marked its thirty-fourth year in granting scholarships to dependent children of Sierra Pacific Industries’ employees. This year 203 students will collectively receive $518,542 to attend colleges, universities and trade schools during the 2013-2014 school year. Recipients are eligible for the scholarship for four years and are sometimes granted a 5th year based on their school and degree program....

With increased broadband infrastructure coming to our area it can not only provide increased productivity and options for local businesses but for Law Enforcement and First Responders. Some local providers like Volcano Telephone are providing WiFi Hotspots in some very rural areas that Personnel can use. Angels Camp, CA..The Grand Opening of Veronica's Princess and the Pea Party Room was held on Thursday, May 16. The opening ceremony and ribbon cutting was after the annual Fair Children's Parade. Angels Camp's Vice Mayor, Jack Lynch, officiated, as did the new business owner, Veronica Stow, and 'Princess Pia'. Princess and the Pea Party Room is designed to cater to 'princesses' of all ages with fantasy parties designed especially for them. The Party Room is beautifully decorated and is stocked with regal furniture, crystal, china, tiaras, fanciful costumes, and all sorts of other things that make for a real princess party. The business will also offer etiquette classes for young people starting in June...
