Fiddletown, CA...On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, Jennifer Morris ollowed a proud tradition dating back to 1851 when the post office was first established. In a 12 noon ceremony, Morris will raised her right hand to take the official oath of office as Postmaster at the Fiddletown Post Office, 14283 Jibboom Street, Fiddletown, CA 95629. Manager of Post Office Operations Theresa Hartenstein will administer the oath of office.

Calaveras Visitors Bureau to Announce Innovations in Tourism Award Winners at Annual Dinner

ANGELS CAMP, CA—The Calaveras Visitors Bureau (CVB) has revamped and expanded its Innovations in Tourism Awards and will announce this year’s winners at its annual dinner and program on Tuesday, October 29 at CAMPS at Greenhorn Creek Resort at 5:30 p.m. Each year the CVB recognizes an individual or business that has gone above and beyond to bring something new or special to tourism in Calaveras through its Innovation in Tourism Award. Last year’s winner was Chris Parker of Courtwood Wine Tasting Tours. This year, the CVB has grown that program and will recognize a number of business leaders throughout the county in various sectors of the tourism industry, including attractions, events, lodging, recreation, dining and shopping....
