Jamestown, California. Golden State Cellular announces recent placement of a temporary cell site, or cell on wheels (COW), at the CAL FIRE Academy in Ione. As Golden State Cellular is the local area cell service company that provides roaming for Verizon, CAL FIRE made the request as a way to improve Verizon Cellular coverage at the Academy to support a new training program being developed, designed to improve response to hazardous situations. According to CAL FIRE, the new training course, AAIM, is a CAL FIRE led multi-agency, multi-discipline and federally funded program which will assist Incident Management Teams when dealing with wildland fires and all-hazards emergency incidents locally and nationwide. Golden State Cellular and CAL FIRE have worked together in the past on COW placement in support of firefighting operations in remote areas....

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp Museum and Carriage House is pleased to host the April Monthly Membership meeting for ACBA. Museum Director Craig Hadley will provide a tour of the Museum starting at 5:15 PM. The ACBA Membership Meeting will commence at 6 PM in the Carriage House. We also will be continuing the business networking skills we learned in the March member meeting by allowing any member or Angels Camp business to conduct their 30 second infomercials. Angels Camp, CA....Local Century 21 Real Estate Agent Leanne Smith just found out that she sold her way onto the The Wall Street Journal/Real Trends Inc. "The Thousand" list. This list will be published in the Wall Street Journal in June and features the top 1,000 grossing agents in the nation. This is a huge honor and it shows her dedication, commitment and hard work in perfecting her craft. What is amazing is that Leanne was able to achieve these numbers in working the rural counties of Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne & Mariposa. She had just under 100 sales last year. She was coy and didn't want to reveal her sales totals but needless to say her achievement should inspire all those up and coming agents out there that they can achieve sales goals even in one of the softest economic times in recent memory...
