Patriot Golf Day at Greenhorn Creek Starting Tomorrow!

Angels Camp, CA....On August 29th through September 1st, Labor Day Weekend, Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort, will be supporting Patriot Golf Day. They are one out of 2,000 golf courses nationwide that will be participating. Golfers will be asked to donate a minimum of $1 to the Folds of Honor Foundation. Local Bird Tests Positive For West Nile Virus

San Andreas, CA...On August 20, 2008, local public health officials were informed by the California Department of Public Health that a bird (oak titmouse) from San Andreas has tested positive for West Nile virus. This is the first indication of West Nile virus in Calaveras County in 2008. There have been no reported cases of humans or horses infected with the West Nile virus in Calaveras County thus far this year...

It was an exciting weekend of human-powered recreation, education and celebration, plus a refreshing afternoon thunderstorm always adds a little spice. West World Images was active on Saturday at the festival and had an easy time finding scenery and smiles during the road cycling and bouldering events.
