Sonora, CA...Jon Cavaiani (born August 2, 1943) is a retired United States Army soldier and a recipient of the United States military’s highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his actions in the Vietnam War. Sergeant Major Jon Cavaiani is fighting for his life. Jon has been diagnosed with MDS (myelodyplastic syndrome), a life threatening blood disorder. Over the last few months, Jon has received medical consultations, blood transfusions, and chemotherapy form San Francisco Veterans Hospital—Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Sonora Hospital. Currently, Jon is waiting for admission to Stanford for a bone marrow transplant and other critical treatments....

Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. yesterday signed seven bills to support the health and well-being of women in California. The Governor signed the following bills today: • AB 154 by Assemblymember Toni G. Atkins (D-San Diego) – Permits a nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwife or physician assistant, who completes specified training and complies with specified standardized procedures or protocols, to perform an abortion by aspiration techniques during the first trimester of pregnancy.... |

The position includes providing a form of brief therapy to the elderly in their homes and also supervising senior peer counselors who will be supporting clients in a form of self-therapy. SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is the sudden, unexpected death of a baby younger than one year of age when there is no other reason for the death.
