In addition they provide sharpening service for chainsaws, mower blades and circular saw blades. They re-located to a new, larger building at 660 E. San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden will be open on Saturday May 25 from 10AM – 1PM. Plant sale this month from 10am -12pm. The Demonstration Garden is located at the County Government Center, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. PLANT SALE NOTE: Find a diverse selection of hardy and heirloom vegetables. Find answers to your home gardening questions, including plant and pest problems. When the garden is not open, home gardening assistance is offered by Master Gardeners through the help line at: 209-754-2880. The public may leave a message regarding a problem and a Master Gardener will return the call.
USDA Announces Support for Farmers Impacted by Retaliation and Trade Disruption

Washington, D.C....U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will take several actions to assist farmers in response to trade damage from unjustified retaliation and trade disruption. President Trump directed Secretary Perdue to craft a relief strategy to support American agricultural producers while the Administration continues to work on free, fair, and reciprocal trade deals to open more markets in the long run to help American farmers compete globally. Specifically, the President has authorized USDA to provide up to $16 billion in programs, which is in line with the estimated impacts of unjustified retaliatory tariffs on U.S. agricultural goods and other trade disruptions. These programs will assist agricultural producers while President Trump works to address long-standing market access barriers.

Angels Camp, CA…(Frogtown, USA)..Participating in the Saddle Queen Scholarship Competition this year was Kyndal Castle, Macy Liotta, Savannah Stinnett, Madison Wolfman and Delaney Grace. The young women competed for several scholarships as well as special awards. The competition was directed by McKensey and Tammy Middleton. The competition was sponsored by Gold Electric.
