Angels Camp, CA...Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) has received a generous $5000 donation from Save Mart Supermarkets. Funds benefit the Career and Technical Training (C&TT) Scholarship Fund. For the 6th year, Save Mart continues to support this scholarship fund and CCF applauds their on-going support.

Calaveras COunty, Ca...And the Grand Prize for the 2017 Calaveras County Science Fair goes to: sixth grader Joshua Brison from Mountain Oaks Charter School! Joshua’s project, “Terpines vs. Mold,” earned him a traveling trophy for his school and a place at the 2017 California State Science Fair. The Calaveras County Science Fair is made possible in part by a grant from the Teichert Foundation, which supports all Calaveras County Student Events.

San Andreas, CA...(Forum Has Been Canceled As Measure B Has Been Pulled) The Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee (CCDCC) is hosting a forum regarding Measure B, the voter initiated initiative-measure that seeks to prohibit the cultivation, manufacturing, processing, and delivery of marijuana for all purposes within all unincorporated parts of Calaveras County, including a ban on the operation of marijuana dispensaries. The forum will take place on Tuesday, March 28th at 6:30 p.m. at The San Andreas Town Hall.
