Posted by: thepinetree on 09/15/2008 08:25 PM
Murphys, CA...The Native Daughters Hall was overflowing as citizens of District 4 had their say. This event was a more open format than the Enterprise Debate with questions coming directly from members of the audience as well as each candidate being allowed to ask each other a limited number of questions. More time was also allowed for genuine give and take on issues. The fireworks really started when Former Supervisor Candidate Ron Klass asked why Supervisor Tryon used the Grand Jury Complaint process to prompt investigations by the Grand Jury that led to the resignation of...

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/30/2008 11:30 PM
Valley Springs, CA....The Veterans Memorial Hall in Valley Springs was the place to be movers & shakers in the County on Saturday Night. There was a good sized crowd for the Campaign kick-off Fundraiser and Dinner for District One Supervisor Candidate, Gary Tofanelli. The evening started with social hour at 5pm where there was a whole lot of mixin and minglin going on, followed by a yummy tri-tip and chicken dinner. One of the highlights of the evening was when former District One Candidate Kathy Mazzaferro publicly announced that she is endorsing Gary Tofanelli...

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/26/2008 08:23 AM
San Andreas, CA...A good sized crowd filled the Metropolitan in San Andreas Saturday Night. They were gathered to show their support for Calaveras County District I Candidate, Zerrall McDaniel. We are heading down the home stretch and all of the local election activity is really picking up steam. The Calaveras Supervisors races are increasingly becoming seen as county wide races. The only voters who can vote for a particular candidate are the residents of a district however Supervisorial Decisions affect all the residents of the county. In District One according to...

Hot Copper Days Car Show...The Tradition Continues ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/17/2008 12:41 PM
Copperopolis, CA...The Square was overflowing with beautiful rolling works of art yesterday. Believe it or not this was second year in a row that the Hot Copper Car Show was held in the New Copperopolis Town Square. As you may recall last year's event was held just a few days after the asphalt was laid and some of the buildings were merely shells. The cars were exquisite and since everyone had invested so much time, money and energy in pampering these beautiful vehicles we thought the least we could do is take their pictures. We have over 120 photos and video...
