Calaveras County, Nov. 25, 2013 – District 3 Supervisor and Chair of the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, Merita Callaway, recently announced she will run for re-election in District 3 which encompasses eastern Calaveras County from the Calaveras County/Alpine County line to Douglas Flat and a portion of Vallecito. Surrounding communities include Murphys, Brice Station, Hathaway Pines, Avery, Arnold, White Pines, Dorrington, Camp Connell, Sherman Acres, Sky High and Tamarack. Norman Milsner let us know that power went out in the Dorrington & Camp Connell area at about 10:15am... Hathaway Pines, CA...Kathy Fristensky entered into her heavenly reward on November 19, 2013 from her home in Hathaway Pines, CA. Kathy was born July 5, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Catherine Kane. She was a loving wife, caring mother and doting grandmother. She was most proud of her family and also had many significant accomplishments in her life and career. She helped educate and build the faith of hundreds of children by serving as a master catechist and director of religious education for the Diocese of Oakland and Diocese of Stockton. She enhanced her community by serving several terms as president to the Clayton Women’s Club. Earlier in her career Kathy was a nationally recognized puppeteer and put smiles on thousands of faces through her original, entertaining shows...
