Arnold, CA....Chapel in the Pines, on May11th through May 18, 2008, is on another rebuilding mission. Some may recall the mission to Long Beach, Mississippi back in March 2006. Long Beach, MS was one of many communities hit by Hurricane Katrina. Many homes were worked on that week. Many lives were encouraged by their loving acts of kindness...... |

Angels Camp, CA...."Committee members and community volunteers have been working diligently for the past months to make the sixth annual Relay for Life an event to remember. This year's Relay will be held at Bret Harte High School on April 26-27 from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to participate in the event. Informational booths on various cancers will be available on site, as well as day-long entertainment, fun, food and games. For those who would like to .....

Blue Lake Springs, CA.....A part time Blue Lake Springs resident, was getting ready to take a shower last night, and was faced with a little surprise....a bat had taken up residence in the shower curtain. He went to corral the critter to move outdoors, but with his lacking skills in bat-catching, he tried to capture it in a ever so popular Trader Joe's bag. Well, he was unsuccessful....instead he was bitten on the hand..... |
