Posted by: thepinetree on 10/25/2014 02:24 PM
Arnold, CA...We have been trying to subdivide our acreage into a three way split for years. Originally we were not required to do road improvements. Over time things changed. We were forced to give up a portion of our land and pay for this at our expense to complete the bike connector from Pine drive to Oak Circle at Cedar Center in Arnold....

CCWD Restores Water Service After Long Night For Repair Crews

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/23/2014 10:53 AM
Arnold, CA...After a long night of hard work by Calaveras County Water District field staff members, two leaks in an aging 12-inch water main were repaired and water service was restored to the Arnold area. The first of the two leaks was reported just before noon on Wednesday, October 22, and was estimated to affect about 500 people. A break in the main water line was sending a stream of water down a natural drainage in the area. CCWD crews began turning off the water serving most of downtown Arnold and the surrounding subdivisions at around 2 p.m. Wednesday. While crews were repairing the first leak, a second leak in the same pipeline was reported beneath the pavement of Blagen Road about 1 mile from the initial break....

Decoding Prop 47, “The Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act” ~ By Barbara M. Yook, District Attorney

Posted by: thepinetree on 10/23/2014 01:56 PM
San Andreas, CA....Prop 47 reduces some felonies to misdemeanors but assures us the public will remain safe because no dangerous offenders will benefit. Residential burglary, carjacking, robbery, and arson are considered “serious” or “violent” crimes under the law and these are commonly called “strikes”. Under Prop 47, none of the above crimes will be considered a “danger” to public safety....
