| Sierra stream fishing opened Saturday, April 26, 2008. It was a busy weekend as access to the Stanislaus River was limited to Calaveras Big Trees State Park and Boards Crossing Road in Dorrington. The Gate to Beaver Creek through Sourgrass crossing is now open. NCPA anticipates having Spicer open by Memorial weekend, depending on the snowmelt and weather. For an update on the road to Spicer you can call 209-728-1387. Alpine still has quite a bit of snow around it. Hobart Creek is not open until JULY 1ST 2008!.... |

Arnold, CA...One of the Iconic trees in Arnold's Cedar Center was dying from the inside out. The beautiful massive and stately old oak tree that shaded the Tallahan's parking lot had become an injury risk. Local Tree Man Extraordinaire, Jason Roland and his assembled crew did the risky job....

Matt’s Update
"As of today, 4/21/08, Matt is over halfway through his radiation program. He has only (12) more treatments. He will then have a 5-6 week break before his chemo program. Matt has had some rough days the last two weeks. He’s been getting sicker than normal and the doctors are trying to find a medication that agrees with him. He hasn’t been able to put any of the weight back on that he lost during surgery. The doctors are getting concerned, and we have a consultation this Wednesday to discuss our options......
